The Cranbrook Symphony Orchestra



Rehearsals take place term-time on Monday evenings, 7:30pm to 9:30pm at Flimwell Village Hall TN5 7FE


We are keen to recruit more musicians of all ages with a passion for music and enthusiasm for performance. The Orchestra’s regular members are a mix of professional and amateur musicians drawn from Kent and Sussex who rehearse and perform a wide range of classical music, often with established soloists. There are usually two concerts per year in the locality.

Vacancies

We have vacancies for violin (1st and 2nd), viola, cello, double bass, french horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion.

We do have a full complement of woodwind but if you are a woodwind player please get in touch to discuss possibilities.


Auditions?

No auditions are held. Come and try us out anytime. We ask that you are prepared play in regular rehearsals and concert day.

Membership fees
The Orchestra is a Registered Charity and is funded mainly membership fees and generous supporters. Orchestra members pay an annual subscription of £90, split into three equal payments.


Concessions

If you are unemployed or experiencing financial hardship, please talk to a committee member in confidence about a membership fee concession/waiver.

Queen's Inn, Hawkhurst


Parking

There is plenty of free parking in the village hall grounds, just drive in.
